What to pack is as important as what not to pack. This guide is to lighten your load and make your trip easier!

What to Pack

Travel Documents, Cash, and Credit Cards: Collect all of your important documents into a travel document organizer. This will help ensure everything you need to get from one place to another is easily accessible.

Technology: Mobile device and its charger, headphones, and electrical converters/adapters to ensure you stay connected on the go.

Health Items: Make sure all prescriptions are in their original packaging and in your carry-on to make sure it stays with you at all times. Carrying hand sanitizer or wet wipes is a good way to keep clean while traveling.

Basic Clothing Options: The option to do laundry will be available most everywhere you go so there is no need to bring duplicates of clothing items. Here is a list of bare essential clothing pieces: Shirts, Socks, Pants/Shorts, Belt, Underwear, and Comfortable Walking Shoes.

What Not to Pack

Toiletries: Pack just the bare essentials and buy as you go. Most major hotels offer complimentary soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Picking up toiletries on the road is easy and often cheaper than buying them at home.

Valuables: The risk of losing or having valuables stolen greatly increases when traveling. If you can't image yourself without your expensive diamond ring/earrings/necklace/Rolex watch, it's better you leave them home since tourists are targets for thieves. Also, if you're looking to save money by bargaining, it's best to not wear items that project wealth.

By using these tips as a guideline, you can better organize and prepare for your trip. And if you are looking for more in-depth information about planning a trip, stay tuned for more from our newest content series...Travel Tip Tuesdays!
